The deal in one line
Easy Take is a free download. Your first three exports are free and full quality. After that, you pay $14.99 once and export as much as you like, for good.
That is the whole price list. There is no subscription, no Pro tier and no add-on to buy later.
What is free, forever
- Recording your screen, your camera and your microphone, as often as you like.
- Editing: split, trim, delete, change the layout of any part, background, padding and rounded corners.
- Three exports at full quality, up to 4K, with no watermark.
- Opening and changing your projects. They never lock, expire or get worse.
What the $14.99 unlocks
One purchase unlocks exporting with no limit. It is a single in-app purchase through the Mac App Store, so Apple handles the payment and you never type a card number into Easy Take.
The purchase includes every future update, new major versions too. If Easy Take 2 comes out, you already own it.
No watermark, ever
Many recorders put a logo on free exports and take it off once you pay. That logo stays in every video you already sent. Easy Take never adds one, on any export, paid or free.
You know the price before you start
I built Easy Take because I was tired of apps that let me spend an hour on a video and then asked for money at export. So the price is on the first screen you see, and the app counts your free exports out loud.
When the free exports are used up, Easy Take tells you before you record. And when you press Export, it asks before the save dialog opens, never after a long render. If you are not ready, choose “Not Now”. Your project is still there and still free to edit.
Why a one-time price
Most people record their screen a few times a year: a demo for a colleague, a walkthrough for a client, a short lesson. Paying every month for something you open twice a year does not make sense. A one-time price does.
Easy Take also has no servers to pay for. Your recordings stay on your Mac (see privacy), so there is no cloud bill to pass on to you.
Compared with subscription recorders
